V. Reading
My Republic.
Now let’s read the poem about our Kazakhstan.
I’m proud of you, my Kazakhstan,
My native country, native land.
I’m really happy you are the one,
The only one divine and grand.
I’m proud of you, my Kazakhstan,
Your boundless spaces, steppes and hills.
Your golden eagles, golden Sun
Your lakes and rivers, endless fields.
I’m proud of you, you always shine,
Your flag that waves is really great.
My native land, you are only mine,
You are my destiny and fate.
I love my country, big and light,
The home for you, for me — for us.
My native country — is my pride,
You are the only one we trust.
VI. Grammar. Adjectives. Degrees of comparison
So, what do we know about the adjectives? Any ideas?
These are the words that can describe the qualities of the other words. They can quantify or identify another human or object in a sentence. Adjectives are used before the noun or the pronoun. In these examples, the black words are adjectives: They live in a big mansion. My car is fast. Big-bigger-the biggest. Fast-faster-the fastest.
The degrees of comparison, like in Russian language, can be comparative with the suffix-er and superlative with the suffix — est. Old-older-the oldest. This phone is old. That phone is older. Those phones are the oldest.
Fill in the correct form of the words in brackets.
My house is (small) than yours.
Which is the (fast) animal in the world?
This book is (new) than that one.
VII. Writing
Write out every single adjective from the poem. Use the correct form of comparison.
Native, happy, divine, boundless, endless, great, big, light.
VIII. consolidation:
IX. Conclusion moment.
